• The Food Bazaar (Fridays) — An Authentic Gastronomic Tour: The Friday market is a feast for food lovers. Local villagers—from traditional village women in şalvar trousers to local farmers—bring their best harvests to town. Expect stalls piled high with glistening seasonal fruits, olives of all varieties, artisanal cheeses, homemade olive oil, fragrant rose petal or fig jams, and spices sold by weight.

Reaching the peninsula’s main market is effortless. Simply hop on any dolmuş (minibus) heading toward the city center; look for the “BODRUM MERKEZ” sign on the windshield. Ride it to the final stop: the Old Bus Station (Eski Garaj).

You won’t have to walk far: the modern, covered Bodrum Kapalı Pazar Yeri is located right above the bus station platforms (on the second floor). Just head up the stairs, and you’re in the heart of the action!

A traditional bazaar is a subtle verbal dance between seller and buyer. Haggling isn’t just allowed—it’s expected!
